hey guys how do you paint a birds foot that is planted on the surface of the ground ? do you tape off the side ?

prior to placing the bird on the base put a plastic bag under it and run the wires through the bag and into the base.that way you can inject the feet and paint w/o meesing up the base.once dry and painted simply cut the bag and pull it out from under the foot.
