Caulk in feathers

Depending on how much and how bad it is, will depend on how to get it off. If it is a small amount, let it dry up and then use a wire brush to take it off. If it is a large amount, I usually take the bird apart and wash it off with Dawn soap and water. Then find out where the caulk came through and sew the holes up. FYI - I don't use caulk in the breast area, would rather use the poly fill as to avoid the caulk issue all together in that area...but I use a little bit to squirt down behind the head and neck and on the back to hold the back pad up if the post requires it. Another tip is to use surgical tubing (1 to 1 1/2 foot) and attach it to the end of the caulking tube (pin or brad to keep it attached), so you can insert in small openings and have the surgical tube go in where it needs to be with a small amount of caulk. If you need further help, just email.
