Need some help. How do you guys and gals lighten turkey spurs?. I am making a necklace and want some lighter shades almost white. Do I paint them? Or will this look to fake? I tried bleaching them but they get to soft and fall apart. Would peroxide work? Thanks for any help Mark

i leave the skin on mine and dry them in borax asap after the kill.
hach saw on both sides then push the marrow out, sink them in borax.
if you skin them, only sink the bone in peroxide, not the spur, after you dry then in borax.
