wiring turkey legs

mounting strutting turkey on a limb, do you guys think 6 guage wire is enough or should I go with a 1/4" threaded rod instead? new to this!

just like Cally teaches. It can be threaded or bent over if your base is recessed and a screw run into the hole.


6 is fine

6 gauge is fine. I use it on all my turkey legs and a child could ride on the back the turkey without toppling it. The key is having it secured firmly to the body, and the base. Also, (if the legs aren't freezer burned) you don't have to remove the tendons.
