I had a customer bring into my shop a Guinea Hen and I have looked all over to find a refrence picture to paint the head and can't find one any where . Dose anyone know where I could find one or if someone could send me a picture via E Mail .It would be greatly Appreciated.

How do you tell a hen from a rooster once the bird is dead?
As a kid we always had Gennnies on the farm always the wild gray birds, the only way we could tell was during mating season??? JOhn C

That's what you'd hear if you had a live female guinea! Males have a larger "helmet" and longer wattles than the hen. You can find quite a few good pictures at various poultry sites on the web. Try www.thecoop.org (I think) or just do a search under poultry and you should be able to find something to suit ! Hope that helps dku

Hey Buddy, I have raised the darn things and had the one with the biggest helmet and wattles lay eggs. NO if I cant tell and Granny cant tell. I dont think your expert enough to tell either.
