Looking to clean up and preserve deer skull with antlers intact. Animal had been dead some time and no flesh remains; antlers beginning to go green in colour, otherwise fairly white. Exposure to elements means currently drying them out. Have had Borax suggested to clean skull, but what about antlers? What should be used to preserve once clean and dry? Suggestions appreciated.
