Which Airbrush?

Submitted by Don W. on 2/6/01. ( Hoyt7mag@aol.com ) 205.188.208.203

Getting ready to order airbrush for whitetail, turkey, and fish. Can't decide between the Iwata HP-C and the Iwata Eclipse 2000. Could anyone tell me which would be best?
Thanks for any info.

Do yourself a favor and get a nice one. It will save you time with repairs and money with parts. I would strongly recommend a double action brush. This allows you to adjust the airflow, amount of paint coming out and the size of paint pattern all at the same time. You have the internet, search some brand name airbrushes and make your decision on facts. I am sure everyone on this forum has an opinion on their airbrush and have learned how use it will. I use a paasche and have learned how to use it. No matter what you buy you will need to practice, practice and more practice. JUST REMEMBER TO CLEAN IT WELL. A good aribrush will last you a long time if proper care is taken.

Iwata HP-B

I use the HP-B as my detail brush, it doesn't have enough capacity to spray any volume.
The HP-C is similar with a larger paint cup. I am not familiar with the 2000. My volume
brush is a Vega 2000. My Paasche brushes are tucked away in a drawer somewhere. Iwata is
a great brush that you can't go wrong with.
