I have just boiled a deer skull in sal soda and let it soak in a peroxide paste, however the teeth are still stained purple. Any suggestions for treating this? Painting them?
This is one of the reasons that many of us in here suggest NOT to boil skulls. It might be the blood still in the teeth. They tend to turn color anyway. Some more then others. I wouldnt leave the next one in peroxide too long, either. Ive seen some teeth that just lighten up, others that dont. Best of luck, and maybe someone else in here might have the next step for you...
