I have 2 skulls that I can't seem to get all the meat out of the cacks and crevices in the back part of the skull near the brain cavity , I have boiled them in Sal soda and still no luck. I am afraid to boil them anymore for fear of damage to skull, can I soak them for awhile, and will this be enough to loosen the stuborn meat and tissue? any help greatly apreciated. Matt
It's best that after you boil and you can't get the rest of the meat out to blow it out with you air hose. Get a rain suit on for this,crank up the air and blow out those areas that still have meat left in them.
And yes I would let it soak and then clean it.
After boiling, I like to use a garden hose with a good spray nozzle. For cartilage or stuf left in the cracks, I use a stiff wire brush while it is still soft.
