But I have a non taxidermy question. Anyone know the 2001 bow season dates for Illinois?
Thanks
GO TO BUCKMASTERS,COM THEY HAVE ALL THE STATES HUNTING DATES Robin
The Illinois Bow season always starts October 1st. And this year it runs through January 17th. In counties where there is no deer shotgun hunting (Cook, DuPage, Kane and Lake counties) the bow season is open every day between October 1st and January 17th. The rest of the state closes bow hunting during deer shotgun seasons which are: Nov 16, 17 & 18th. And second season is November 29, 30 and December 1 & 2nd. But Archery season is open during the muzzleloader only season which is December 7, 8 and 9th. You may wish to check the Illinois DNR website to see if you need to wear blaze orange during muzzleloader season if you're planning that time-frame. And, it's probably a good idea to check it anyways just to brush up on any new laws...
http://dnr.state.il.us/ will get you there (no www)
Good Luck!
