Changing ears

I've just finished a WT mount but I'm not satisfied with my positioning of the ears. It's completely dried and I'm wondering how much trouble it would be to attempt rehydrating them so that I could reposition them.

I used critter clay, and probably more than I should have. I'd like to turn the ears more forward and also try to shift the base closer to the main antler beam. Does this sound "doable"?

Would I just lay a soaking rag over the ear base or would you inject water? OR, should I just leave it and not risk making it worse yet? Thanks for any suggestions- I'm clueless on this one.

You got the idea on how to do it. So just go for it. It may take a day to get it soft maybe less.
