I have a form that is 6 1/4" x 17" x 19". My question is will it work for my cape that measures 7" x 17" x 19"? Will I have any problems with it or can i build up the veins a little to take up the space of what could i do?

it will work if you cut the form inbetween the eye and corner of the mouth and extend a half inch.Put a couple pieces of wire to hold it then fill it in with two part foam and sand smooth.check the archives on the left next time there is answers to almost everything. Lloyd H

Mmmmmmmmaybe, but why?

I don't mind 1/2 and inch, but 3/4 is pushing it some. Why don't you just order a form to fit the hide properly/

Try McKenzie...

They have the exact neck sizes you need in 6 3/4 eye to nose sizes in their 8600 and 8000 series forms. A 6 1/4 eye to nose will be a small and short form compaired to your 7" eye to nose body size...Paul

Alter your form

Cut the nose off just behind the corners of the mouth. push some 12Ga. wires in the mannikin and push the nose back on leaving the space you need to get close to or right at the 7" measurement. wrap plastic wrap around the muzzle poke a hole in the plastic and pour in some foam. After the foam sets up remove plastic and shape to get back the detail.
