Ripped Ear

While removing sawdust from a tanned white tail ear I ripped the ear about 1 1/2 inches along the seam. What is the best method of fixing this? Sewing or trying to super glue the edge. If sewing what type of thread should I use? Thanks in Advance, Dave

Don't Superglue

You can find all this in the archives, but cyanoacrylate crystalizes over time and your repair will turn into an eye sore. Use a quality earliner and use 5 minute epoxy to mount the ear. Let the hide paste ooze out slightly during the installation and just as soon as it kicks off (the epoxy will be jelly like) take your fingernail and remove the excess epoxy. DON'T WALK AWAY AND FORGET. If the epoxy hardens, you'll loose hair and skin trying to remove it.
