The 80" blades from Sears are inexpensive and really nice when new but they dull rapidly. I've been using a diemast blade from Kendeco that really works good for and extended time.......It is made for metal cutting though and is quite expensive. Have any of you guys found something that works good on skull plates that will last?

Meat cutting blades from resturant supply houses if they have the proper length. You need a blade with open teeth and a wide set. Butcher's blades are designed for that purpose. In my experience that ain't the only blade from sears that dulls quickly.
I use a dewalt sawzall with a 10" wood blade, makes fast work of skull plates and the blades last a long time ( I did 32 deer last year and the blade will probaly last another 32)
I found a 12" treesaw blade that fits my reciprocating saw -cuts the skullplates off faster than a cat can lick its -(ahem) paws. The regular wood blades always got meat and other things in the teeth and quickly stopped cutting.
