Hide Paste?

Submitted by J. Patti on 09/13/2002. ( julee@mindspring.com ) 65.58.166.3

I recently learned whitetail taxidermy from a full-time taxidermist. His hide paste application consists of Roberts 3200, white cove-base adhesive. He says paying shipping on a five gallon pail of paste doesn't pay. I'll probably regret asking (because everbody has a different opinion)but I'd like to hear some other opinions before I go using this stuff all the time. Thanks!

Patti;
Go with the Epo-Grip hide Adhesive.I tried alot of them, and I like that one the best.

if you learned from him, you should know if his capes are sticking to the form without drumming and if the adhesive gives good taxiing of the hide. If it does what it is supposed to do and you can save yourself the cosst of expensive pastes plus shipping why not?
