cape problem

i have a cape where facial measurement is about 1/2 - 3/4 too long - is there anyway to take this up or "stretch" manniken

You will find as you taxi the skin into place this skin is not really extra as it now seems. Just use a lot of hide paste and work it into place. Starting at the nose work back and down. Since you dont have a lot of experience use a water based hide paste like the New stuff From Steve at Newton Supply.

Use a lot of HP in the lip slot, many people dont, and this will pull out.

I don't try and taxi a skin with that much exta in it 3/4" but it can be done like JC said. I rather make a cut behind the lip and or in the middle of the lip line. Some deer have bigger lip line than other but it's a bit uncommon. Then add a piece of 1/4 foam, wood etc to make up that void and reinstall the other portion. Use a good epoxy here ( Epo-Grip) for your glue. Then you can mount as usuall and all should work out better.
