Submitted by mike on 01/23/2003. ( )

Wondering if anyone can give me some advise on how to clean the inner part of ears on some wet tanned capes I have mounted about a year ago. These are the first wet tanned capes I have ever mounted and relize now that I should have taken some xtra time to clean them better when I mounted them,{tanning oil}.
Thanks, Mike

Mike, I won't tell you what to do but I'll tell you what I would do. I would mist a bit of water into the ear and with a toothbrush and a bit of shampoo I would simply wash the ears out, wipe out with a clean cloth, mist and wipe until rinsed well, let dry completely and then redo any paint finishing destroyed by the ear wash. That's what I would do.Enjoy-Aaron H.
