Sometimes after washing a cape in dawn the hair side is left with a bunch of what appears to be tiny little pieces of shaved skin. Little tiny pieces, but alot of them. What exactly am I seeing here and whats causing this?
Thanks Again All!

Joe C., Sounds like what you are seeing are just what you suspect, little bits of skin tissue. If you have a tumbler these should pretty much be removed after a few minutes in the drum but if not it's no big deal to brush out small trash and bits of skin with a soft bristle wire brush. Those little bits of tissue may come from the edges of the cape or could be rubbed up from the flesh side surface by your hands as you wash the skin. Some may even come from around the hair roots as natural shedding of skin layers in small pieces is a condition common to all living creatures. I would simply brush out most prior to mounting then get the rest while grooming the mount. Enjoy, Aaron H.
