Hi.
I have looked in the archs for doing a stag mount with what we call here ' cast ' antlers. ie - ones that have dropped off naturally.
What i get in the search is how to cast antlers, how to put them on , but with a scull cap ect.
I dont know if you have a different name for them -can anyone tell me so i can find what im looking for.
i have been offered capes and cast off antlers (from a deer farm), in return for a shoulder mount.
I havnt the foggiest as to how i would go about mounting them.
I think i would have to build up a fake skull cap at the very least.
Any info, before i take up the offer, would be apreciated.

shed antlers. lol
I dont have access to the skull plates i believe are sold there, is there another way?

Many of the major taxidermy suppliers carry a shed connector. A metal holder that you attach the shed antlers to, you sculpt in the missing skull plate with mache. The whole unit is attached to your maniken.
