Learn more about your trade. you should be able to alter any form to fit your animal, Co'mon take some length of the face and narrow it some also, as for the coyote legs, alter them also......
Come on,,lets not get so defensive..Why is it ever time someone with (Supposedly) less experience ask a "STUPID" so call Question" someone with less experience answers the question? I just wanted an answer not a STUPID,,,,,STUPID answer.Go someone else to post and reply to someone that cares for such,, I do not .For your Info,I can and do know how to RE~CONSTRUCT anything and everything that comes my way...Its just that if I pay for it I expect someone thats in the businness to sell to make "CLOSE" to what I need..Did you notice I said "CLOSE"I just was asing WHY? OK? Larry ,,,If you were in my News Group,I would Delete your response>
When you say the e/n measurement is off, How much? I don't do many blackbuck, but I have never had a problem with forms being that far off. The neck measurement is the important one anyway.
Coyotes. Fox. The legs are always too big. Take a rasp and shave them down a bit, no big deal. Save a carcas and compare
Really Larry, these are some basics that you just have to deal with, most forms don't fit perfectly. It is one of the undeniable facts of taxidermy life. You seem to be the "defensive" one here.
Jett makes some pretty close fitting forms for Blackbucks. Try them out.
.....I'll bite! Who is Jett?
Jett makes forms out of Kerrville. Their number is 830-796-9026.
Like I said I don't do a lot of blackbuck, but it's nice to be aware of all the sources.
Leslie, thank you for Jetts phone number,,that was what I was looking for..Great post.Great solid answer.I sure expect some alteration as I also think thats part of Taxidermy, but what I had been seeing was WAY to big in the legs on coyotes,,,My best to all,Larry
