How much for a live deer

Submitted by Christine on 10/10/2003. ( cmatuse31@yahoo.com ) 65.19.65.95

Well, I searched here and online, but couldn't find a price for a live deer. Must be expensive though cause no one posted prices on their website. So, does anyone know the price for a live deer? I guess the price for a fawn would do, male and female. Just curious.

How much land would be needed?

More than price to consider

Christine, You are not asking but here it is anyway. Think long and hard about getting whitetails. Aside from the dollar investment for fenceing and the animals themselves many states have strict regulations and even bans on keeping deer. Whitetail bucks that are "tame" are considered by many to be the most dangerous critter you can have as they have been known to kill people and regularly become aggressive around the breeding time. Lots of people that have them will not enter the pen once a buck gets "hardhorned" after shedding velvet. I know of 2 people personaly that were savagly attacked by bucks that had been totally "friendly" days before. I was in the pen with one of those bucks a week before he put a guy in the hospital-never again will I do that. Just my thoughts, Aaron H.

I don't know where you live, but in Eldon, MO (just south of the state capital Jefferson City, MO) there is an auction where you can buy deer, elk, etc. That is all that is sold there.
