I just killed my first deer, a 7 pointer, and wanted to know if anyone had any tips for preserving the antlers so I could just mount them on my own. If anyone has any tips for me thanks.

Antler preservation

L S, Antlers require no preservation unless they are in velvet. If you have a velveted rack there is a lot of information on various methods in the "search"-orange button to the left. Otherwise enjoy the antlers as they will most likely outlast you as they are. Now, if you are asking for ideas for mounting the antlers the search will help you to mount the antlers to a panel for display as well. Congratulations on your first deer-Aaron H.

Thanks
