on my plastic earliners. Wiped em down with paint thinner then took a wire brush to em and ruffed em up some while they were soft from the thinner. Seemed to ruff em up pretty good. I know from reading that you can dip em in sand after the thinner, but when you don't have sand handy...ya make do with what ya got.Also tried some new adhesive this year...seems to be working out pretty good.

If you are going to wire brush them the thinner is not necessary. Just rough them up with the brush. The sand on the other hand would need the thinner.
