You guy,s kill me

Submitted by Dean Gregg ( Coal Hollow Taxidermy) on 12/24/2003. ( gregg8664@msn.com ) 65.128.80.102

I think you guys need to read back to where this all started before you jump on the band wagon. Yes George is wright the wire wheel is not the best choice but what sence would it make for the guy to run out and spend $1200.00 for a fleshing machine to just try Taxidermy. Like I said its not always what the person is trying to say its how they say it . For some reason the ones who know George think he is a good guy and that might be "BUT" there is a whole lot more of us that dont know George and all we see is some one that Would more times than not get his A$$ kicked if he just walked up and started talking down to people he didnt know. I would love to be friends with George but the way he goes about things "MOST" of the tim isnt right and why pretend that it is. There are to many of you being way to passive Stand up and have some balls. I would rather pay someone to teach me and treat me like a human than to have George talk down to me for free. I might be a Redneck but I think if George talked to my face the way he talks to most on here we would be going to the hospital to get my foot taken out of his A$$. Opinions are like butt holes we all have one and this is mine. Its time for George to back off.

Dean I thought you said you have been doing this for 17 years or something? Within 17 years I would assume you would have purchased a fleshing machine....I read the original post, and I didn't think George came off as a pompous ass at all....Either way, I would rather have MY ASS handed to me by any of the more experienced taxidermists in the world....It will only make me strive harder to make my mounts better....I guess you woke up still upset about the boar comment....If you don't like the advice, just ignore it...

Like I said opinions

Everyone has one and just like you Sandy I voiced mine. Oh yes I do have a fleashing machine but I do this full time. I bet there isnt a sole out there with any since that ran out and spent $1200.00 on a fleashing machine before they tried Taxidermy first to see if it was even for them. There may be a few or alot of you that need to kiss Georges butt to learn but there is more than one good taxidermist offering info on here "WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE" Happy Holidays Dean

Dean, Dean, Dean

I was hoping that the name calling was over by now. You mentioned in one of your previos posts that this is a sport? After 17 years in taxidermy, I would've hoped that you came to the realization that this is our livelyhood, job, business, proffesion or whatever else you may call it. All your posts are attaking someone who has taken time from his job to help guys that asked for it. If they don't like the answer, they may choose to ignore it or they can learn from it. Nothing constructive or helpful came from your posts whatsoever. If anything, they revealed your immaturity and insecurity.

Passive Dean?

This response submitted by Mick on 12/24/2003. ( Mickthetaxidermist@hotmail.com ) 205.188.208.6

Let me see, We're passive because we don't happen to agree with your opinion of George, or your pugnacious way of expressing it? "Stand up and have some Balls" "Kicking peoples ass" because you don't agree with peoples opinions? Just finish reading "How to Win Friends and Influence People" there Dean? Are you sure that 17 years was ment as your years of experience, or perhaps your age? Dean, I'm not wet behind the ears either, having been involved in taxidermy since the 70's and full-time for the last thirteen years, but I know enough that professional courtesy dictates that I respect a man's, or woman's opinion, even if I don't necessarily agree with it. George gives good sound advice, and has for a long time now, you're unwarrented attacks on him personally, just because you don't like the way he delivers the info, are unwarrented, unfriendly, and damn unprofessional. Merry Christmas to you.

Well said Mick.

I have to agree that a lot of good sound advice is given on this site. I also think that a person needs to have a sense of humor with some of the responses. Why be offended if someone phrases an answer in a way other than what you would have said? I have learned a ton from this site and have been very entertained with some of the responses. Have fun. Have a sense of humor. Enjoy your taxidermy work or hobby.
Peace and Happy Holidays,
Steve S.

Me and Dean spoke by phone today, hes not a bad guy. He wanted to make a valid point concerning many of us, and now its all getting out of hand. Trust me, all is well in forum-land. Hes a good egg!
