Dean and Ty,

When I first began spening time in this forum I had the very same opinion. I thought all of these guys needed to have there butts kicked up and down the block a few times for the way they responded to some of the questions asked here. I was furious and even went so far as to engage them in debates much like your self. Well, after the verbal beating I took from many people I picked the gravel out of my teeth and decide that I must be in the wrong somehow. The problem is that I was trying to argue facts without doing any research and actually knowing the facts (this is the same mistake your making). So i sat down and searched the site for their responses. And there they were, by the thousands. I can't even comprend the amount of time and effort that has gone into their responses. So it occured to me. If they didn't really care they wouldn't respond. I doubt very serously that these guys are just bored and have so much spare time(like all taxidermist) that they get there rocks off sitting infront of there computers "bashing new guys".
Sure they come off a little brash somtimes. But if you look through that and actually read the post for its content you'll see that they all are trying to help. I know alot of taxidermist who closely gaurd their "trade secrets". I have never seen anyone of these guys just flat out refuse to help out anyone with a problem. Which in itself says alot about them as people.
I don't know any of them personaly, and I know that they have no clue who I am. So believe me this isn't about scoring points or kissing but. I still to this day don't always agree with how they aproach certain things. When I get the opportunity to answer a question in here I chose to go about it a bit differently. But thats my choice, just like everyone else.
Believe it or not even though I don't always agree with them they have my respect as people and professionals. And they should have yours. So do a little research and you will realize how much they have contributed to this site, the NTA(which even if you aren't a memeber helps you and our profession), and the industry. And I can't recall any of them asking for anything, from any of us, for anything they have done.

I agree with 99.99999999% of what you are saying but nobody myself included has the right to treat people any less than a 100% equal. And this goes for George also Thats all im trying to say. George has alot to share and we all appreciate that but he can act like a little less of a "Butt Head". I mean really why is that asking so much of him? Happy Holidays All

Dean and I just had a nice gab via phone. Hes ok. He makes a great point that while we arent the bad guys, we, as "the guys" should watch our tone sometimes. (and I say we instead of George, as this topic has been raised about all of us in the past) Its often misiterpreted in here based on typed words, but still...I enjoyed talking with Dean, and he seems like ones of the guys, too.
