Hide Master cleanup

I'm having trouble with cleanup of Hide master hide paste around the mouth area of my mounts . I've tried Aceatone and it dose break it down but I can't seem to get it off the hair . I had one mount that some ouzzed out on and I tried to clean it with Aceatone even after 1 month it still felt like pine sap in the hair . Most of them eventually dry but the hair is left with a shinny stiff film on it . Any Ideas or suggestions for a differnt type of hide paste ? KHH

Are you cleaning it up at the time of mounting?

Clean as you go and you should not have any problem. Now if you are leaving until its sets you may need to use paint stripper and go easy.

I clean as I go

I try to clean as best I can as I go . I wipe it clean with thinner I just don't seem to be able to get it all off . The problem seems to be that it continues to ooze out if there is a nick or throught the lip slot . it always seems to end up with stiff hair in the area. I try not to over do it with glue but maybe I'm using to much. Thanks KHH
