I have always been an advocate of earliners when at all possible and have only a done a few sets of bondo ears...a couple Mt goats and a few small mammals, never used bondo on a deer. Well, I finally had some free time to experiment with Ear Magic. I had an extra, damaged Muley Cape and decided to attempt the Ear Magic process. I found the product very easy to mix, work with and smooth. My first attempt resulted in an accurate, thin Muley ear. In the past, Ive spent countless hours trimming liners to fit the broad range of ear sizes of Pennsylvania whitetails ( the are usually much smaller than most earliners). Now, I can use Ear Magic on the odd sizes. A great time saver that, Im sure, has many other uses not yet discovered! Great stuff Steve!

I just ordered some today and want to give it a try on a caribou I will be mounting. I like bondo ears but from what I've been reading on this forum it just might be a little easier to work with and like the idea of a thinner ear.
