How difficult is it to mount two sets of antlers that are locked together? The guy doesn't want them to be broke apart if at all posssible. Is this going to be really hard?

Its like, "I received an albino today, it seems difficult, should I just dye it?" or "this non typical whitetail has so many drop tines, I think Ill cut them off". Locks gotta stay locks, thats what makes them so special. Otherwise theyre just two sets of antlers. I treat locks like gold. I just finished a nice set of locks, and Grizz, they ARE a pain to do! But theyre so worth the extra work. Hell, the customer is paying you the extra to do it...isnt he? FYI, I usually get between $1500 and $2500 to do a set of locks, and I do one or two sets a year, usually. One other thing, I seldom use the fighting buck forms, choosing to alter forms instead.
If you have never altered forms you may find it difficult but if you have an understanding of how the musculature of a deer works. It is no big deal. choose the forms you will need. Give them the basic pose required. Then attach the antlers to one of the forms. that has been mounted to a wall. With the head off the other attach it to the other set of antlers. now place the shoulder of the other deer to the wall where it will go. And see where you need to go from there. IE: bring form A. in more, or out. Or bore bend on Form B., Etc., until you have what you are looking for. I just did one that was to be mounted in the corner of two walls. And ii turned out beautifully
