competition eyelids

Working on first competition whitetail. After spending some time with the refrence material, it's pretty apparent that there is a "texture" to the lower eyelid. Almost looks like tiny pores. Any suggestions on recreating this? Any other ideas on getting away from the shiney, dead skin look around the eye and tear duct (other than just waterbased paints). I am assuming proper alignment will not expose much skin, but any suggestions on how to handle what is exposed? Trying to develop a game plan before diving in. All help much appreciated!
Thanks!
Brett

i use mod podge in a syringe and put small dots along the lower eyelid about 1/32" or a little more apart. the dots should be about 1/32" in diameter. As for the skin,i use laquer paints, i use laquer paints and i really don,t want to type out how i do it. If you want, you can call me and i would be glad to tell you how i do it. 440-724-2765 or 330-648-2930
