Be sure and leave the skin in the pickle for at least 3 days when using liqua tan...the only time I ever had problems with it was when I cheated on the pickle time...

I have and have not.

Length of time in the pickle is not true.

The penetraition of the pickle is what is important.

Many times I have only needed to pickle deer capes overnight.

Shave the hide before salting and see for your self.
