Tell me if theres something wrong with this idea. We just finished a early season mule deer and we have been fighting to come up with a good color or the inside of the ear. I searched the archives and about all I could find about color was " paint it off white". We have tried this in the past and the ears look like headlights. Then we were told to try light flesh color, looked like someone sewed a teddy bear together. This weekend we finally came up with a color we all liked. Here goes... Light flesh on the deepest part of the ear, faded that into an off white, then the last inch or so we put just a slight hint of brown to tone it all down, just misted it on. We think it looks great. Has anyone ever tried anything close to this? Or are we out of bounds. We are new to this but we have been using lots of reference material and videos but this color combination seems to look the most natual. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Chuck

Jonas bros, has a paint called Deer Ear, it works great for me.
I know it is too late for this mount, but I tint my ear adhesive. Use a solid pink and the color will show through. Then you don't get the "painted lady" look. I guess you have to use earliners and remove the cartilidge, but I do that anyway on all mounts.
