Wet Looking Eyes

Guy's, this may be a dumb question, but I saw a mount today that looked as if the eyes were really glossy looking. Do any of you all do this and what do you use? Looked to me as like an automotive clearcoat. I know its probably not natural looking but it really looked good to me. Appreciate it. Travis

Mod Podge can also work, particularly if you want to build up a nictating membrane, but either will give you that "wet" look. I generally mist a bit inside the nostrils as well and on the outer nose nodules (bumps) but don't put too much on these areas as you end up with a deer that has a runny nose cold...

could be laquer thinner

It could be laquer thinner. I know alot of guys who apply a coat of laquer thinner to the eyes and surrounding tissue, then buff it off to give it a shiny look.

I use

Coombs also makes an eye gloss that is thicker.
