i have the dream buck from Jim Allred and dont know if a 19x21x23 long hair cape would look anatomicly correct. if you dont know the buck ,its 209 b/c 29 inch spread i dont want it to look like a freek. would it look semi-ok on a 19 in. short hair mabye? thanks for your time

Antlers that big are sorta freaks, ya know? What I mean is, that buck is going to look a bit out of proportion just because...he is! A 19x21x23 sounds small to me if those numbers mean 19 tight at the juncture and 21 at the swell. Many big bucks I mount seem to be right at that 7 3/4x20x23or24 range. Ive mounted bucks that made book on smaller capes, smaller framed deer, too, though. Some big antlered deer just dont have huge bodies. Id say that if it were me, and I wasnt in a hurry, Id try to get a bigger cape, but the long hair will help the look, too. Is that what you are asking?
i have a Noonkester form wd-2 i really like that form for some reason and thaut it was a little on the small side for that rack any way thank you for your input, your advice is highly respected
i have the form - PED-WD-2 its 7 1/2x21x24 that would make it about 23x26 with a long hair cape i think
Im not familiar with that particular form, but they have some really nice ones in their catalog. You are the best judge as to whether itll look good. Trust your judgement, and good luck with that whopper.
Check out Adan Alvarez's buck.He killed this deer on the king ranch(low fence,free ranging)back in 97 and it scoerd 239"but feild dressed only 105lbs.You want to talk about a misfit!
