how to rehydrate mount

I am curios in the last entry (comp air brush) Brian told Jeanette to hehydrate the area to re taxi the jaw. I have not tryed this. I myself use a water baced hide paste. Butt I have a restore mount done years ago with some realy bad eye sets and a bad nose job. I cant talk the costomer into getting anouther cape and starting over. I do not know what they used for glue . What do I use to rehdrate it ? (water?) and do I soak the hole mount (sumbmerge). This guy wants a miricle.

Dextrine, really not much more than Cream of Wheat. it normally will rehydrate pretty easily. The only problem many be hair slippage.
Wet the area down, cover with a wet cloth, plastic bag it over night and see. It may need an extra day in the plastic bag to wet back.

going to try this then I sure hope you have a contract that has specific language in it that states the risks involved(slippage). Otherwise, the customer may try to pass the buck(LOL) if something goes wrong. CYA- Jeff F.
