Cabin break-in Whitetail racks lost

I'm asking for your help. On St. Patrick's Day, 03-17-2004, our cabin in southwestern Minnesota was robbed. Our most important lose, was our family collection of Whitetail antlers. There is one from 2002, = 6x5, brown tone, with skin removed around the cut off base. There are three = 5 x 5s. One in particular from 1989 has very heavy beams, and more ivory in tone than the rest. All three had permanent marking pen on the backside of the main beams, with date and year and 1st name. All three also are cut off bases with hide/hair still on them. These are all respectable and nice sets. There is also one from 1990, a 4x4 or 5x4 that is attached to the full skull, with a little hide still on, but bleached out from the sun. There also may be a couple of 4x4s that are cut with hair/hide. Asking for some help in trying to find them back. I didn't know what else to do. A needle in a haystack.

Contact the MTG and ask if they would place a note in the next newsletter that goes out to all licensed taxidermists in Minnesota, that way we could all be on the lookout for you. Chances are the nimrod will bring a set or more in to a MN taxidermist for plaque or head mounting.

Another needle in the haystack but this one might at least poke the bad guy.

Notify these with the descriptions. Also, Lolli Bros. in Macon, MO (northern MO) has several taxi sales a year. Might want to notify them, as well as any other 'exotic' auctions you are aware of. I believe I saw a posting about one here recently, in Iowa.

Good luck! Hope you get them back!

and don't forget E-Bay

I would keep a check on the racks for sale on e-bay. Good luck, Bob

it takes a mean person to steal anything from another person. Good luck on finding who did that.
