First of all, I would like to thank everyone who took the time to post a
response in critiquing my first attempt at taxidermy.
to David - Thank you for your kind words and suggestions.
to Vicki Chritton-Myers - Thanks for the suggestion on the ears tipping out
towards the sky. I know the ear butts were a big problem and here is
what happened. Since this was my first mount, I did not know how much critter
clay I would need to complete the project. About half way through the first
ear butt I realized that I was not going to have enough. Oh Well, I just
split the difference in the clay and finished the job.
to AE Walsh - I am know finishing up my second ever mount and I will try
the Modge Podge stuff on the nose pad. Thanks.
to Art - Like I said above, I am currently working on my second mount and the
improvement in it over the first one is amazing. In fact, I am already smiling
at the one I have posted.
to Matt - I have taken care of the eye lid problem with my second mount and I do
say I looks much better. I guess reference does help. LOL
Thanks again everyone, In a couple of weeks I will be posting pictures of my
second mount for everyone to critique. Until then, keep up the good posts,
Mark
