Maybe I should have posted this in the "industry" category...either way, I'm sure many will see it. I do taxidermy work in my home here in Jeffeson County by St. Louis, Missouri. I'm sure some are familiar with Vic Heincker (spelled right, I hope). My dad has a very nice mount done by him hanging up. It was done around 10 years ago. He used to have his shop fairly near my home but looks rather vacant now. What ever happened to him? As many are probably aware, he's the one who mounted the world record non-typical whitetail.
It looks like he is going to be a judge at the state competition in August.
Thanks!

I don't have a clue how that posted twice! I only clicked once.
are you talking about the missouri monarch? thats cool, i always wondered who mounted the original.
i know Joe Meder mounted the first replica of that deer. in fact... i was at his workshop when it arrived in its crate. i even got to unpack it and hold it first. maybe im a little weird, but i felt like a kid with his first pellet gun with those antlers. even had joe take my picture with them just to show my friends. they are absolutely monsterous
as for vic, i dont know what happend to him. he won best in world live sculpture a few years back but havent heard a peep since then.
Yeah, he mounted the Missouri Monarch. Kinda a nice thought knowing I have a deer mounted by the same guy who mounted such an amazing animal.
