redoing eyes

I have used the search button but not got the answer I want, my problem is that I have a deer that I mounted over a month ago useing DP method with sallie dahms hide paste, I have sinse learned to the the eyes a lot better than this the first one. what I want to know is can I use a wet cloth place over the eye for a few hours and loseing it to where I can shape it like It should be? thanks any advise would be helpful.

and you might want to put a piece of plastic, saran wrap ect. to help hole the moisture. In the search engine it might be under cracked eyes.

Go back to the post AJ referred to- cut the slit that Bill suggests and remodel your eye. When everything is just the way you want it, roll the flaps back carefully-the ones created by the slit. Then use a little 2 part quick setting epoxy to glue your flaps down- smooth them together and watch them til the epoxy kicks.
