Cut the muzzle off and lengthen it to what you need. Then split it down the center in both directions (Virtically and horizontaly) Open it to what you want, refoam it, reshape and blend, and you're ready to go.To make any form larger or smaller you have to work from the inside working your way out so you don't lose your shape and anatomy. Rayline catalog shows some alteration to make a form larger. A game head is done the same way.
thank you for your quick response if im correct rayline is McKenzie right? i did look in McKenzie catalog and didnt see anything on reshaping. Do they have a rayline catalog as well?
In fact, it sounds like a plain old Berkshire boar. You're going to have to modify that form form as described above. I had one a few years back that weighed 600 pounds just like that. You're just going to have trouble with that nose and getting a jawset to fit. I'd suggest you go with a Noonkester closed mouth form and just chop that snout off the mannikin. The customer I had wanted it to look like the wild boars, so I was left with shortening the snout by one inch and using an artificial nose instead. This allowed me to fudge some on that snout measurement.
McKenzie owns rayline, precision, Reinhart, powell, and I think buckeye, each having there own catalog. The true wild boars have a longer face. The feral hogs which are wild domestic hogs as well as the ones that are crossed which are also black, have a shorter but broader face. Some customers want the hogs mounted on the true russian boar form so it looks authentic. Most customers or taxidermists don't know the difference. A feral hog form should fit, or at least get you a closer starting point. Good luck
