Is there a good tanning kit out there that you can use to tan a hide b4 mounting it? I've never doneone b4 Whats the best way to do one and how do i start? BY salting the hide first?

Harley, There are good kits available and for a first tanning experience it is a good way to go. Check out the suppliers on this site, many will have what you are looking for. Steps in tanning differ from process to process, salting is used by most but not all. Enjoy, Aaron H.
