what is good to use on a whitetail nose that won't be so glossy looking. i would like a matte finish.

Live deer do not have flat, or satin finished noses.
A live deer keeps it's nose wet so that scent molecules will stick to it, therefor enhancing it's sense of smell.
A relaxed resting whitetail can have a flat(dry) color to his nose. As they start picking up a scent, little beads of moisture will start forming on the nose and then out comes the tongue. You now have a gloss nose.
