How do you put the bottom lip on a finshed whitetail deer mount and what do you use, also what color would you paint it? Thanks Deerman

I like to show a little of the lower lip. I glue it in place with super-glue. I paint the lower lip to match the natural color, which varies with each deer somewhat. It can be a fleshy-gray color to dark brown.
when I tuck the bottom lip I make it no wider than the nose pad then I put pins in it just till it dries then pull them out then I smooth it with poxy sculpt and paint it useing pains grey
My deer will usually show just a slight amount of lip. I have also seen them show so much lip that it looks like it was pouting. If I ever mounted one that way it would look dumb, but accurate. Any amount of lip is fine or none at all. It is always very fleshy looking. NOT BLACK
How I do it. I use a darker red flesh I mix myself. Paint the entire bottom lip. I then haze paynes grey over it, go a little darker at the hair line. I do not cover the flesh tone you just want to give it a dull/dirty look. This should blend into your top lip line done the same way. Jack F.
