removing hair off old deer skull

I was just wondering how you would remove the hair off and old deer skull.

When I receive deer skulls like that I use Soda Ash/Sal Soda . Add this to boiling water then place skull in and let boil till the hair and dried tissue start to gel then clean this up under running water.

Be VERY CAREFUL with salsoda

Unless you can stand and watch it, don't use it. Salsoda will dissolve the thin nasal bones in a deer skull if left unattended. Been there, done that.
