deer cape measurements

I just got in 2 whitetails to mount that are already caped. I have always done my own caping and got eye-to-nose and neck measurements before skinning. How accurate will my measurements be now and do I need to make some sort of adjustments in my readings before ordering forms? I plan on buying an elk cape soon and this info will help then also. Thanks

I just measure as usual. Hold your fingers in the nose to position natural as possible an measure your eye to nose. I always measure the tanned cape for the neck measurement. Hope this helps. Jack F
