whats best polytranspar color to paint deer eyes

whats best color to paint deer eyes ive been using burnt umber but it seems dark to me i want to try and compete next year and dont think the burnt umber would do well with comp work thanks to any one that can give me some pointers.

Bill Yox did an article for Breakthrough a couple years ago and gave his paint schedule for whitetail. I am not sure the issue number but it was very informative. He did a schedule for the nose finishing also.

Try white, flesh, & then your brown. It works fine.
