Yes you will need info on mounting the deer i have video that shows you how to do it from start to the end.will trade.reply to my email.
If you send the cape off you will see how much thinning is required to flesh the next deer head you get, home tanning is not rocket science so that shouldn't be a problem, but learning to thin the cape properly is the trick, especially around the eyes and lips, thats why you see a lot of questions on these forums asking for advice on too much lip pulling and eye pulling or not being able to make each eye look the same,I learned the hard way with each deer cape when I first started mounting deer, taking a little more flesh off each time until I finally got down to the hair bulbs around the eyes and was amazed how my eyes would than stay in place-but it took me a few deer heads to realize how far to go because I was always fearful of cutting a hole, but now that I know its a piece of cake. And I do cut a few holes sometimes but that is easy to repair with epoxys and an airbrush-hope this helps.
Do not send your stuff to them, they do shotty work. I have sent many capes to them, and they ruined quite a few capes, some by slippage, and some by just flesh holes in my ears/eyes, and popped holes in the cape itself. This is completely unacceptable. I have been in business for over 20 years and never had as much trouble with a tannery as I did them. Be very careful. I would recommend The Wildlife Gallery. They are compitant, great turnaround time, they flesh and tan, and you will be extremely happy with the thinness and stretch of your cape.
