Bactricide Questions

Can you use Basacryl NB-KU and Safetee Acid at the same time in a pickling bath? Should I use a Bactricide before salting or before pickling or after pickling and what kind do you recommend?

You do not need a bacteriacide in a pickle

That is the purpose of the pickle bath. If you keep the ph at the correct reading it will kill all bacteria. Just keep an eye on it and make sure it you stir your skins.

I still consider myself learning after 6 years, but I can tell you that you can use Basacryl NB-KU and Safetee Acid at the same time in a pickling bath. I use it in every pickle. Thats the way I was taught. Todd answered the rest.

Thanks, John

when using Safty acid. It puts the ph below 2, no bacteria can grow in that. Your wasting your money. I use Rittles Ultra Soft relaxer and water in my rehydration bath on salted skins, thats all. Pickle, than tan, No bacteriacide needed anywere.
