shed-free deer hide?

Is there such a thing? I want to use 8 or so deer hides as rugs, but don't want to sweep/vacuum constantly. Is it possible to find a deer hide that does not shed, or is deer not really suitable for use as a rug?
Thanks,
Diane

Deer hair is hollow and brittle, you will be doing exactly as you describe, cleaning up after your rugs constantly. No type of hair is really suitable for a rug. Animals hair is SHED at least once a year and sometimes twice. It wears out right on the animal and they replace it. It is not a durable material. If you must have animal hides, try to find some sheep skins, you will be happier with them.
