A wet tanned caribou cape was shipped to me in a moist condition. Unfortunately customs officers seized the cape and placed it in a plastic container for three and a half months before finally releasing it! The fur and skin side is covered in mildue and the hair pulls out easily. Is there some way to save this cape?
