readjusting n epoxy glued mount

IS there a good way to loosen epoxy glue to reposition something? I use Key epoxy on my lip line and antler burs. I have a competition deer that has a noticable wrinkle on the back corner of the mouth and it is bugging the hell out of me. I think I am going to start having nightmares about the damn thing if I don't fix it! I couldn't seem to locate anything in the archives. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Chris

Pry it loose

No glue, even epoxies hold a skin that tight that you can't get it loose if you have to.Just start prying carefully,a little at a time till you get it where you want it.You can wet the skin as you progress if you want.Wetting the skin from the outside doesn't have as much effect as it does if you can get water on the inside.Nothing will soften the epoxy, but what happens is the skin still pulls off leaving just a fine layer of leather attached to the epoxy, which stays attached to the form.If the epoxy filled your wrinkle and formed a little ridge, you might have to scrape that off with a knife, then re-do your lip corner.I have removed skin in this manner from bondo, all types of epoxies,Buckeye Supreme, and other types of paste. Not a problem, just take your time so you don't rip the skin.If you can do a competition deer mount this will be a piece of cake for you.Good luck.
